Born April 29th, 1946 in Duisburg, Germany
1965 : Abitur (high-school diploma) at the Leibniz-Gymnasium in Duisburg
1971 : RWTH-Aachen: Erste Staatsprüfung für das Lehramt an berufsbildenden Schulen ( Elektrotechnik, Mathematik)
since 1971: working as teacher at the Gewerbeschule I in Lübeck
since 1983: working as director of studies at the Institut für Praxis und Theorie der Schule (IPTS) and later at the Institute for Quality Development of Schools in Schleswig-Holstein at the Landesseminar Berufliche Bildung
2000: Diploma (equiv. to Master Degree) in Computer Sciense at the FernUniversität in Hagen
since Mai 2006: retired director of studies (StD.a.D.)
since 2009: PhD student
